So…we promised to write every week but it’s almost been 7 months. Sorry!!
But we’re back!!
I actually just moved to California and I wanted to write a little about it.

This is my first time moving away from home and it was both nerve racking and exciting. And now that I am successfully here it genuinely feels like home. But, it did take a bit of trauma to get here…
On the first night, my landlord had left the keys to get inside in the apartment, luckily the balcony door was open so I climbed over the balcony to get in. I also didn’t bring a mattress and target was closed so I slept on the floor. Yes, the hard wood floor. But I did bring sheets and a shower curtain so I laid those down and slept on them 😀.
The next day it was literally 106 degrees outside, but I had to go to IKEA to get a bed frame and mattress. If I could explain in a few words how good it felt to sleep on a bed after sleeping on the floor it would be, “I. Am. Never. Taking. A. Bed. For. Granted. Again. Thank you”. On an even brighter note, building IKEA furniture successfully is so accomplishing I literally feel like I can build a house now. On the other hand, failing when building IKEA furniture makes you want to avoid all eye contact with it. In total, I spent about $800 on all the furniture just for my room. If you move anywhere I highly recommend saving more than you think you will need. If you do that, then you can focus on having fun decorating and exploring.
I don’t know if I saved enough to be able to say that you should be saving extra but I am having the most fun I have ever haved in my life. I learned after moving here that you should not live in fear and take big risks because the most you will regret is not experiencing more.
Anyways here are my goals for October:
Book a few acting jobs
Do my best for this blog
Make better decisions with my spending
Get better at cooking
What do you think? I’m hoping I can accomplish all of these by the end of October. Anyways, I have a ton of more stories to tell about my move to Cali so if you enjoyed this one stay tuned.
