My main goal for California is to succeed in the acting industry. But I was told recently that in order to do auditions successfully I need to be able to support myself without any worry. So my shift has moved slightly, big emphasis on slightly, to job searching. Here’s what’s come up so far…
I woke up at 9AM today and watched about 10 different videos on “How Lazy Teens Can Make Money Easily”.
This is what I got from it: I don’t trust websites that give me money for reading and writing a review because I’m scared its a scam. And I don’t know how to get affiliated or get ads on this blog. And apparently I can make something digitally and sell it; like planners, notes, and etc. but I don’t even know how to make any of that.
Voice-over work
I’m actually pretty familiar with doing voice-over work and there were a lot of ways I can get money off of it, however, I don’t have the equipment so I can’t do it right away. I think this is the one I’m going to take up as a side hustle
Looking for part-time jobs on Indeed
I applied to about 4 so far. Two are receptionist jobs and one is for a restaurant hostess position. I’m waiting on those, and I am PRAYING that I get one.
Applying for jobs on acting websites
I’ve applied to about 12 and I got accepted for 1 and auditioned for that 1. I know I’m going to get more roles though so this is the one that I have been investing my time and energy in the most. Submitting to these roles gave me an insane amount of adrenaline so it’s only making me more and more excited and happy to be here.
On a side note, being unemployed and relaxing in my new apartment, studying the arts, exercising, and making my own healthy food, feels sooo nice. After years of school, finally being able to do what I want is so rewarding.
